
The Angling Trust is looking for talented coarse anglers who would like to apply for the England Veterans International assessment day.
The FIPSed 12th Veterans World Championship is due to be staged in Slovenia next year and a team is required to represent the Angling Trust.
This year saw Team England just miss out on a podium place finishing in 4th place on the Scolmatore Channel, near Pisa, Italy from 14th – 15th June. The result makes England Veterans No 1 in the World after France finished in eighth place overall in the World Championship.
Where and when
The Angling Trust Team England assessment day for Veterans (66 years and above) will take place at; River Trent, Long Higgin, Nottingham on Monday 23rd September.
Applicants who are invited along must impress the Angling Trust England Team Manag-er, Joe Roberts who will be looking for talented anglers who have the ability to fish flat float on long pole and bolo with natural baits and under pressure to international rules. Rules are available on the FIPSed website at http://www.fips-ed.com.

It is also a requirement that each angler is also an individual member of the Angling Trust.
Anyone selected will have to be prepared to pay their international costs to compete in the World Championships next year and to help with any team fundraising.
