The Honourable Artillery Company has chosen SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity as its new charity partner. The HAC and SSAFA will work together to engage HAC members and SSAFA supporters in partnership through a series of events and activities.

The Honourable Artillery Company was established in 1537 “for the better defence of this realm.” From the 17th century the Company has been described as a regiment and remains so to this day. It is the oldest regiment in the British Army and is one of few never to have been amalgamated with another regiment.

The partnership with SSAFA aims to raise awareness of SSAFA’s work to relieve need, suffering and distress amongst serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families, and in this case particularly those serving with the Honourable Artillery Company, their families and veterans. Whether it is practical, emotional or financial assistance, SSAFA’s network of volunteers are at hand to ensure no veteran’s call goes unanswered.

James Grant, Head of Corporate Fundraising and Events at SSAFA: “We are delighted and honoured to be working with the Honourable Artillery Company as its new charity partner. SSAFA look forward to working with the HAC on some very exciting events and to raising funds together to help those in need amongst the Armed Forces community.”

Sean Crane, Chief Executive HAC: “Raising money to support our fellow soldiers and their families is exactly what we, at the HAC, should be doing”.
