TMT is very pleased to be able to announce a snap prize-draw!
Belgian watchmaker, Col&MacArthur, who specialise in designing symbolic watches that focus on the values of pride, heritage, and commemoration, has launched a limited-edition ‘Armistice 1918’ watch, designed to commemorate the centenary of World War One and to honour the heroes who fought during the war.
The design incorporates symbols of the end of the war including the Poppy, the date 11-11-18 and the initials of last British soldier to be killed, Private George Edwin Ellison, who was shot at 9:30am while on a scouting-patrol on the outskirts of Mons, the city where the British army first engaged the Germans after the outbreak of the War.
The face also has the number N°2419D, representing the railway carriage which served as the mobile headquarters of the French Armed Forces, and in which the Germans formally surrendered.
The watch, which is priced at £345 at Col & MacArthur, comes in a wooden presentation box, and can be engraved by Col&MacArthur for£40 if required.
