The Army Air Corps Lynx helicopter is retiring after nearly forty years of Army service, operating in such areas as Afghanistan and Belize. The 657 Squadron which operates out of RAF Odiham near Basingstoke will be suspended.

Today’s farewell tour took in important sites including the Army’s tank training centre at Bovington, the factory where the helicopter was built in Yeovil and the museum of Army flying at Middle Wallop.
